Top 5 Convenience Store Apps on Android in South America: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of convenience store apps on the Android platform in South America showed varied trends. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the download and active user metrics for the top five apps in this category.

Clube Econômico Atacado started the quarter with weekly downloads of approximately 5K, but experienced a steady decline, reaching around 1.1K in mid-March. By the end of the quarter, downloads picked up slightly to about 2.1K.

VMmarket showed a relatively stable download trend, beginning at 2.8K and ending at 2.2K. During this period, weekly active users increased significantly, peaking at 38.8K in early March before dropping to 34.4K by the end of the quarter.

For TouchPay, downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight dip mid-quarter. They started at 1.6K and closed Q1 with 1.4K. Weekly active users, however, showed a positive trend, climbing from 22K to over 31.8K by the end of March.

Smart Store experienced a modest download performance, fluctuating between 378 and 819 weekly downloads. Despite the low numbers, the trend remained stable throughout the quarter.

Finally, Mercado OXXO saw its downloads rise from 323 to 496 by the end of the quarter, with a noticeable increase in mid-March, peaking at 793.
